Theres nothing wrong with being southern. I'm only one state above you in S.C.
Anywho, parents for some reason always blow the difficulty of adult-life out of the water big time. More than likely because they don't think you really grasp the saverity of the situation. The hardest part is finding that clucker car, half-way decent paying job, and that first not aways big enough place to live. After that if you don't turn into spendy-Mc. spender and learn to pinch your pennies you'll do just fine. It won't be easy I'll gant you that, but it's not like yur gonna get chased down by godzilla. Best thing to do is to take it one step at a time and and don't be such a worry wart.

I think I'm kind of lucky. My grandfather is selling me his truck, which is in exceedingly good condition, for $800. Plus he willing to waait for me to get a job to pay for it.
Wow, digging up old posts. . .Well, while I'm here, I guess I'll answer the question.
I'm 21. . .
And Vampirehunter, I concur with Pandora: being a Southerner is not all that bad. I'm your neighbor in Alabama. (and no, we're not as backwards as everyone thinks)
Ok, I was bored, so I just found out the actual average of of a dragnix member... so far. : 19.93!
I rounded some peoples ages up, the ones who said halfs and nearly, and im 17 now. If more add their ages we can work it out again...lol!
Yeah, I'm a Missourian, we're mostly wannabe southerners (except me).
Yeah, I have a job now, though I'm not going for a car until I have the money for the best one I can get (an electric). I'm one of those 'why buy something you're going to replace anyway' kinda people.
Anything is Possible...
And Yet, Nothing is Probable.
I figure if yur gonna do something might a well do it right the first time istead wasting time on slowly saving up for one thing just to do it all over again.
