i still use them because the ink in most pens isn't very good!! water based is better!!!!!!

I don't use ink very much at all. I outline my pictures in darker colored pencils/ Crayons or sometimes oil pastels, maybe paint.

i can never get the oil pastels to work very well for me

Pencils work best for me. Mainly cuz you can get good contour drawings in pencil, without messing up as you would in ink, or having to color it. (I suk at coloring) *sister trying to sleep on my head* *me* SHOO!
