I must admit, I had a feeling you are a draconologist/ draconine purist! Personally, I draw for the naive wonder of dragons and their kin. Anatomy and such don't really spring to mind when I begin a picture, it's an automatic thing for me.I just stick pencil to paper (or ballpoint, as is here) and go into a frenzy.Thanks for your comments, it's always useful to help shape future work.

Since no one has ever actually seen a dragon, and the closest thing we have is a Komodo dragon we will never know what a real dragon actually looks like. Sure there are philosophers and other draconic studies people have done and managed to manifest there own ideas from these, but no matter how disciplined the person maybe there own imagination and ideals will always take over thus turning fact to fiction. Many people believe that a dragon was never any larger than a dog 2’ to 5’ feet in size. There wings being much like the birds we have today i.e.: there bones were hollow. I could go all day and possibly write a book combining hundreds of people’s ideas but I will stop now seeing that this is an art gallery and not a debate table.

Since dragons are mythical beasts, there is no right or wrong way to draw them.

I do not believe they are mythical. In fact they can’t be just a myth there are to many stories and recordings to ignore there once existence on this earth.

Mythical in my opinion meaning magical and taking on different forms. There have been recordings and stories and legends of dragons, most likely proving their excistence. They might have been killed (most) by humans, since for some reason humans cannot share the world with animals. *points to the word extinct and endangered* Other dragons, as you stated before in the shark-like dragon picture, could have gone into hiding.

I actually did like the Jurassic Park theory from the movie. That they did evolve into birds, its very possible.

The Archaopteryx is a fine example- it had scales and feathers. The modern-day Hoatzin has claws that poke from it's wings, the young look very much like dragons!

That's correct. The hip and pelvic bones of dinosaur's and bones are very close. Lizards hip and pelvic bones bend differently then dinosaur's.

I've loved reptiles and dinosaurs ever since I was a small child. I had a doll house with humans and reptiles with dinosaurs and amphibians. I tossed the people aside and let all the reptiles, dinosaurs, and amphibians sleep inside.

XD My dinos used to eat the people too! oh yeah, actually I've read that some dinosaurs' bones are more closely related to bird skeletons while other dinosaurs' bones are closely related to modern day reptiles. So perhaps some dinosaurs evolved into birds and some into reptiles. What's your fav Dinosaur?

XD I even remember the show too! The evil dinosaur guy was defeated by the good guys and he fell into a pit of lava but then he mutated in the lava and became a dragon XD

I seem to becoming a vampire-dragon... thing... these days cause I just can't fall asleep at night, no matter how exausted the day has left me!! Take this morning for example: I went to bed after midnight, and awoke around 5:30 am, and I couldn't get back to sleep! and yet... I don't feel at all tired! I also seem to respond better to darkness, rather than light; the light burns!!!!! Not only that, I see better at night!!!!! When I get into bed at night, and in the mornigs when I can't sleep, I listen to Phantom of the Opera music... Is there some kind of connection between my night owl transformation and Phantom music? And is that why the evil side of Danny Phantom seems more attractive to me now-a-days... Hehe I get as much sleep as my body wants. Sometimes it wants 20+ hours other times I can go days with only 2-3 hours of sleep. My jobs extremely flexible for me so I can do that. I was once in my studio for over 38 hours straight then didn’t go back to work for like a week. LOL

recently theres been something wrong with me every time i go to bed it takes me hours to get to sleep and then i wake up again at something like two-three in the morning and then i have to trty and go beck to sleep which takes abut another half an hour to an hour. Dammit i wanna SLEEP

When I’m asleep I’m asleep, it takes an act of god to wake me. My wife has literally poured ice water on me to wake me up and it only works half the time. I don't blame her for trying though my sleep schedule is non-existant. Hehe like I said earlier I sleep when my body needs it.

because not everything needs to be in colour, there are sometimes when it appropriot and sometimes when its not, ok
