This one was inspired by the style of traditional Norse design, and isn't intended to be an anatomically correct depiction.I love the legends of the Vikings,what an amazing part of history!You get even closer to it if you're interested in metal detecting-brooches in similar designs come up in the right places (my uncle does lots of this)

It looks like a Celtic design. Animals in Celtic patterns are always out of proportion

My current layout on a site is three Celtic horses with really, really, REALLY long tails that knot and curve all over the place ^^

Sounds like heaven for the eyes! It's so good to talk with likeminded people. Even today, after so long, the Celts are still praised for their symbolic design. Sometimes, the designs are so otherworldly and beautiful it makes me almost dizzy! I just adore the unfathomable shapes they create. WOO!!
