The shadow around it makes it look like a falling star. Why is he/she crying?

She is the mother of the egg, and she has to leave the egg because Shantarano is chasing her. Actually, the egg is Sapphira.

i like your interpretation but thats not how i imagined her, but it does give a image to compare to (she has wings and thats why it looks different to my interpretation)

Um keeper, Sapphira is the egg.. or is it about her mother? did you really imagined Sapphira's mother? Or do you mean that because her mother hasn't got wing, that Sapphira won't have any? I mean, I look totally different from Ninyu, my brother.

i know sapphira is the egg, i imagined her mother with wings and well two pendents hanging from her horns...if Sapphira has wings its because of her father and not nesecarly her mother.

Don't be too shocked but I think that Shantarano is the father. From the moment I found her, I felt that a shadow was chasing me. (now I know it was actually Sapphira that he was chasing) From the moment we stood still, Shantarano appeared. I think Shantarano wants to kill her because she has his powers. I mean, no one else ever possesed all the elements, and Sapphira must've got it somewhere..

thats disturbing on too many levels, and why would he want to kill her unless he wanted a male appretence? i just dont think that it can be like that somhow.

well in a way I can understand it because what if daughter would surpass the father in power and might-his ego would be shot. I think that is a cool twist. Parents can have recessive traits in which teh offspring can get to the mother or father do not have to have the specific trait, it could just be hidden under another . Plus imagination is endless there are no limits

well if the father wanted a boy and found out the the daughter had his power then he wouldn't want there to be three super powerful dragons and one might not even be on the same side. and i kinda have a idea on why Shantarano would want catc, but im not going to say it.
