YAY!! First!! Thank you, Zephyr, for doing this pic for me. Just so everyone knows, I will be doing my own drawing of Matthew eventually, but I was afraid of butchering him because I can't draw people. Anyway, he is a character from one of my stories and I will be doing a whole side story on him at some point.

This is a very well done drawing. I love the scalework and how its there but kind of not too noticeable. The only advise I have is to give more shape to his bum.

I didn't really notice his bum. My focus was on the wings. Also, it kind of looks like he's wearing baggy pants, anyway.

Yeah...he's wearing really baggy pants. I should've added more folds so it would be a little easier to notice the bagginess...

Oh ha, nevermind then. Leave it to me to notice the bum first and assume he's wearing tight pants. xD

Fourteen would be a good age for him. I think Oreo wanted him to be in his early teens...well, at least that was the impression I got. LOL...but for a college-bound person like me, he's a bit young. XD

I'm not sure about his age just yet, but I think he was fifteen or sixteen. I haven't got the entire story figured out just yet, and he isn't a main character until a different book, anyways.

Well, that's not Matthew. You're so close I had to laugh. Hope that's not offensive. Anyway, Matthew's mother can shapeshift into a dragon cuz she's half dragon, but his father is human, so Matthew is only a quartr dragon and can't use both forms seperately. He's stuck
in between.
The basic gist of the characters is something like this: There is a species out there known as the Darkut. The Darkut are dragon-human hybrids that have existed since the days of knights and creatures of myth. The story about the princess in the dragon-guarded tower is a cover-up for the fact that the princess and the dragon fell in love and eloped. Their children were human in appearance, but also had a dragon form which they used to hunt. The night of the full moon is the night when a Darkut is the strongest, and on that night, a Darkut must take on his or her dragon form. They don't have a choice. Well, the main storyline takes place in modern day USA. (Here's where Matthew comes in, but beware; it can be confusing.) The main character, a dragon who can breathe both fire and ice, has a friend who is a shadow dragon. This shadow dragon's cousin, who is also a Darkut, got married to a human man and had a son. Since a Darkut is only half dragon, he or she can choose between the two forms, but Matthew, the result of a Darkut/human relationship, is only one fourth dragon and is stuck between hybrid and freak. If you want a full profile for the dragon types in the story, I will provide one, but you would have to give me a while to construct it.

@Oreo: I was thining about your story a while back, and remember how you said that every full moon was aligned so every month the dragons get a huge amount of power? Well, what I was thinking was that, what if it were more rare than that? Like, say, what if most months it would just be the one moon that was a full moon, but sometimes you'd have two or maybe three moons aligned at the same time. And the more moons that were aligned, the more power there'd be at that full moon. But the thousand moon thing, that only happens once in a very very long while, in fact, you could have it so that only one other incident of the thousand moon alignment was recorded, and thus it would be very mysterious and very very powerful. A perfect climax basically.

I might have to add a twist on that idea, though, Rana. What if the number of full moons increases with every full moon, so that every thousandth full moon is a time of true power for the Darkut? During the time this particular story is taking place, there is one moon remaining before the Night of a Thousand Moons. The story begins just before the night of 999 moons. A month later is the night of a thousand.

That's cool, but the celestial bodies don't work that way usually. Also, if you were to do it like that, then the thousand moon thing would happen once every 83 1/3 year (yes I did the calculation), which, in the life of an immortal dragon, is a pretty regular occurence, and not quite as epic.

The default emoticons cover the usual "emotions" but if you need more, you can link new emotions by using [img ] http://www.server.com/image.jpg [ /img] tag (without spaces).
Preferably, you should only use the message board emoticons because anything outside dragnix may be subject to change without notice. So that "ninja.gif" emoticon can suddenly become a big banner about buying stuff.

I probably could but I think it would be preferable to have an emoticons popup box (require a bit of coding) because as soon as emotions are of various size (and animated), it will not be pretty to have them all displayed at the bottom of the page.
