To answer the armor question if it wasn't already answered. Dragons simply might need the armor for their 'weak spot', in my opinion they look cool with it on, it's more of dressing up I guess...

And the next time, a little bit more of the dragon, and a little less armor, right

The armor looks fine to me, the fact that the dragon needs to be more masculine and thicker is what bothers me.
