Oh by the way I went on this artists' website and she draws and colours them in using ink to make millions of tiny dots..I believe It's called stippling.

this one has a good head but the tail is too small

that doesn't look like stipple to me. granted, it's still an extaordinary picture but i just don't think it's stipple

This is still one of your best... I still have the print you gave me. Only thing I agree with from other opinions expressed above is that the tail could have been thicker/etc... but it's still a job VERY well done. Pointalism!

It ISN'T stipple. That's actually the texture of the paper. It's most obvious at the top.

I'm not sure it's THIS one that's stippled but on her site all the other pictures are.

so, what's the difference between stipple and pointalism? (i wasn't tought pointalism, though i have done some stippling)

pointalism means the prescise placement of thousands of small points of ink.

It's not lingo. It's an art form. You draw your picture using only little tiny dots. It take a lot of time and patience, but the result, if done nicely, is really amazing.

ya stippling is really cool i have to use it in my art class right now and some times a get a little inpatient

that happens to me as well. but if you take your time and try to kepp your cool, it will come out really nice (i did a picture using that kind of technique and it came out really nice).

ya right now i'm just practisin using it in shapes then when i get it i'll move on to somethin big

NO ITS TRUE!!! in the bigining when there was no tissue we lived peacfuly but a guy who itched his butt alot found a wounded tissue and raised it as its own but when his butt got realllly itchy he grabed the tissue to itch his butt with it killing it instantly then raids of tissue have invaded our homes and cloged our tolets and hid the remote ever seince.

we left the butt itcher to the wild tissues but an idea came to the people to make SPATULAS!!! when they were armed the faced the wild tissue but they over ran them and the tissue ruled over the land untill a brave hero came to there aid a LARVA!! the larva fought for days on end untill the larva faced the KING TISSUE!!! but when the larva chalenged him tarzan hit him so hard when the larva flew it became a flying fish!!!.... untill a bird came and ate him but when tarzan came in the tissue thanked him but then tarzan came out of his decize and it was the ITCHY BUTT GUY!!! then he took the tissue and whiped his butt with it killing him then itchy butt stood up and fell and sat one every one so they died the itchy but guy cryed so hard he flodded the world drounding himself in tears only a boat survived caring man eating larva the end!
