Hey, Jenu, I just read your biography. . . And I'm afraid you'll have to beat MY best-selling fantasy series Though what I think is cool, is that practically EVERYONE here wants to write books. Sorry I haven't really been on with the rest of you, but my dad has been working us to DEATH out here He's working again today, leafremovel , and I HATE IT. I do get paid, but that goes straight to my college fund, so I don't see a dime! Sorry I'm pouring this all out on you guys, I just needed to get it out. I'm okay now

tolkien was actually a bad writer in my opinion, i didnt really find his books interesting

Wyverna: No one's ever going to outsell Paolini. He's writen the some of the best books I've ever read (and trust me, I've read books from a LOT of different authors), and I absolutely adore his characters. He's a brilliant author, and to put it lightly, he owns the art of writing. haHA. And yes, Tolkien's writing style was rather tedious and irritating.

*glares at Mnementh and Aiolos* DON'T INSULT TOLKIEN! He's my hero and role model (at least as far as the writing), and tho I agree that Paolini is a good writer, he's become my worst enemy and competition! BLEH to Paolini!

(Actually, I am in reality quite overweight, and I love both Tolkein and Paoulini. Tolkien because he was so comprehensive and complete in his writing. Yes he was tedious, but he brought to life Middle Earth. It's very awkward to explain. . . *shifts uncomfortably* Not even my parents understood why I acted the way I did when I read the About the Author in Eragon this past month. I'm 15, and I'm very soon gonna be 16 (on Valentines Day), and how can I send you my work when I don't know who you are, or how to reach you? On my enmity towards Paolini, let's just say he accomplished all I ever hoped for in my life before I did. Holding Eragon was like holding my dreams in my hands, but it wasn't mine. I don't know if you can understand that or not, but there it is in a nutshell.

Iz so hard nowaday cuz it seems like every idea out there has been taken. But I'll tell you one thing, if you ever need inspiration, look at any one of these pictures and imagine in words, and then a story. It is really hard to find an original idea now, especially in the fantasy genre. Thanx, Jenu, but it wasn't the story that upset me; it was the very fact that a teenager had published a Fantasy book, a LONG one, no less, before I had. The fact that he was 15 when he wrote it only made things worse for me. Trust me, I have so many ideas floating around in my head nowadays that I can hardly concentrate on one book! Which is why I haven't finished one recently -_-. Anywho, thanx for your vote of confidence, it means a lot to me. @Aiolos, I'll send u part of one of my stories. I can't exactly send u all of it since it'd crash the comp. and it's on my computer, and I'm using my mom's at the moment. ^_^!

I'm young, and I am working on a story. And if this helps any, CP didn't publish his story until he was like 19 or 20 or something. And he was na exception, a rarety, because most authors don't publish anything until a while after they are out of college. Although I am hoping to get my story somewhere, weither contest winner or published before college, for some extra money. But don't feel bad about it. You are you, and you should go at your own pace. No one will hold it against you if you don't publish at the same age CP did. All we hold you for is to give us a good story!

the comp in which the first story I'm writing in in, got busted, and now, I've decided to rewrite the WHOLE thing from start to finnish on this comp. I've changes so many things that I found made it alittle childish or lame, and now have to rewrite the second story as well, but i'm not gonna bother with it until the first is done..again. For the best really, it was rather lame, but the second story was sooo good, I had to make the first one again. I've also made it longer, 4 extra chapters, three of which tell parts of the story I never mentioned before, like...how I stumbled upon the magical world of Aragatha Pentalga, long before I got my power. I'm rather exited starting it as if it were new, i may have to update my profile here to keep my records accurate.

Actually, Jenu, he's 19 NOW and working on, what? His third book? Also, if you read his acknowledgements, his parents OWN the publishing company that printed his book. And believe me, I'll give you more than a story, I'll give you an adventure!

U know...u guys are actually beating me. I only have the worth of about 7 chapters in my story, and it's the only one I got. Everyone who is ging to be an author and is my age is like already finishing books. GRRR!!! I can't finish a darn-dead thing!! I've been working on this story for like two years now and I have barely started. And I have such high hopes for it too...

its not about quantity its about quality jenu -_^ take your time on it and do your best and you will have a bestseller
