<center><b>TUTTI:</b></center>

Just a few side notes.

Story is currently placed in the castle of Oceana. (HISTORIC FACTS (for those who don’t remember): Destroyed by void, now being rebuilt. The Forest of Midreams where the Banquet took place is on the castle grounds and is connected to the forest where the War of the Wyr took place. The castle itself used to be a small indoor city, the dwelling of the royal family, and with a market way, stables, an inn, and other accommodations that had outside exits but were connected to the main building.) Please feel free to add your own country to the map in the OOC so we can get our bearings.

I know that this isn’t the original story sketch I may have sent you guys, but I wanted to start with something lighter and less confusing. This will still have a few elements of the old sketch but will be more familiar to everyone.

All characters can come in separately, there is no big meeting planned. Please feel free to fill in the time gap that has elapsed with whatever you feel your character has been up to.

I have set the guidelines to 3 post minimum per week per user, and after talking with a few of you, I think this goal is achievable.

Common sense is the guidelines. You guys are talented enough that I know I don’t have to baby-sit. Right, Draches? *Watches as Draches and Alorith excitedly hover over the “PRESS FOR TACTLESS SPAMâ€￾ button* lol

Finally, thank you for all of your hard work and time. I’m glad to be together again! :)

~Sarina

PS: Seeing as there are a few of you who don’t check your e-mails… *cough* ALORITH *cough* lets keep all OOC comments here. If you’re really concerned and absolutely need to talk to me remember my e-mail is: moonbeam2579@yahoo.com

Also, please refrain from disturbing the new outside RPG community. Thanks.

Okay guys, here's the deal.

I'm going to post up a skeleton thread in the RPG of all my old posts. It's going to end in my latest post, so feel free to jump back into it. I'm sorry you guys have to rewrite the posts you wrote after that, but this is better than nothing.

Thanks!

Yay! The posts are up! And thanks to Tempest, I can now do all of the appropriate html coding to satisfy my every whim.

I noticed when going through my past posts, I've color coded you all, so if you want to code your posts, here is the color I assigned you in mine:

Serenity: purple
Elysian: green
Medea: orange
Draches: yellow
Alorith: gray
Christian: blue
Exanderous: red

Jynx: green

Sorry if you didn't get the one you wanted...lol.

<font color=red>ALSO!! PLEASE REMOVE SIGNITURES WHEN POSTING! IF YOU FORGET THEN EDIT THEM!</font>

Thanks!

How come you haven't regestered yet? Hop to it! lol

I'm sorry, I know yellow is a hard to read color, if you want you can put it as something else in your posts. And pink? What a nice idea...

*Points to his color* That's all fine and dandy that we have been assigned colors, but there is one little problem. <i>There is no gray color in the drop down box!</i> Is this some way of telling me that I shouldn't ever speak? I see how it is. Jerk. I'ma gona go find gray in the test forum.

EDIT: Okay, well that was a easy thing to solve. To whom it may concern. If you wish to have Alorith speak in your post and it has to be gray set the color to gray ([color=gray]text here[/color>). But chances are you already knew that. Feel obligated to say it anyway.

hey hey hey, i've got an idea to move this story along and add some danger to it.
okay, heres what i was thinking
1: were in this deep subterranean type cavern. the air is thin, dank and stale. right? meaning that even in a large cavern there isn't much air. and since we have 6 or so people down there breathing pretty heavy and regularly, the air is going to run out pretty quick. now... what brought this to mind was christian fighting back yawning. it's some type of myth that when you yawn its your body telling you that the brain isn't getting enough oxygen. you see where i'm going? i say that someone. could be me. that says something about like waht i just said. and puts the pressure on us to figure out something quick or we're dead.

i don't know if you have something more planned or what. i just thought it'd be a good idea. and i wanted a go ahead before i did it.

I think that is what Christian was getting at actually... but lovely idea anywho!

...And a lovely entrance by Medea! :D So I guess I'll just have to drag Elise down here to put in her two cents....

Oh, and Alorith, I use html not BBCode, so I dont use those things on the top. I think Tempest is gonna take them down soon anyways. :-P

umm... okay christian. i see the logic in there with the whole well thing. i mean, i'm not serenity, and i'm not you. i don't know the legsitics of each plan. so i'm just gonna keep my mouth shut till you explain your reasoning. i won't post till then. feel special.

I don't have much time to post today, but let me give the view I'm seeing here.

<b>Plan A: The Well</b>
Everyone gets to help out the group with their specific talents, it's based a lot around a realistic solution, it leaves options for later story development (aka another setting and/or travel sytem... the underground wells!!)
This one leaves everyone with more experience and abilities on an even level.

<b>Plan B: Blow Away Rock</b>
Two people do all the work, it's not really based around anything realistic seeing as the power to do this without killing us all would have to be pretty great (leaning a bit towards overdoing it with the power), and it leaves no options for future story development.
Two people gain the only experience leaving the rest of the group behind.

Lol, to me, trying to blast our way out seems to be asking for this...

(website found by way of Tempest)

I'm leaving it up to the group to decide what they want to do, hence "What do you guys think?". Just have your characters voice their opinions in the thread and we'll take the majority.

and this is in it's not really meant as a rant, it's just an amusing little thing meant to poke fun at a manically implausiable plan.

Christian can't post for some reason it's not letting him

Quote:
Okay, okay, okay. I'm not sure what EXX is doing, but Serenity has magical powers too and worst comes to the worst someone can just post for EXX, so let's not all freak out and try to go on with a plan which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever...

For starters, how is smashing through an already unstable rock face into a well full of gushing water, loose rocks and strong currents at all safer than tunnelling into another stable chamber? Not only is there a higher chance that the whole wall will cave in and (from water pressure as well, don't forget) cause the entire chamber to collapse, but there will probably already be loose rocks flying around at break neck speeds and swimming against a strong current isn't hard... IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! I took a swimming and diving course for the better part of seven years, take my word for it, oxygen would be the least of our worries. Constantly shifting water pressure and currents tossing you around like a rag doll would cause permanent lung damage of the kind where you would have to go to hospital for sneezing a few times, not to mention force out that precious oxygen and smash you into rocks and walls, breaking bones and causing sever lacerations.

It would be a lot safer to allow the water to come through in its own time and then swim out once it had settled. However, it appears that in all the rigorous safety checks, one fundamental aspect of this whole plan was overlooked...

Once the water has flowed into another chamber, the well itself would be practically empty; meaning that we'd all just have to sit around floating in water until our muscles caved in and we all drowned. Oops.

My idea of getting into the archives wasn't just some random plan to get us out from underground; it was a deliberate step along a supposedly unplanned and spontaneous plot line. Let's think about this for a moment. Medea is in the archives and has been screaming telepathic messages at Serenity to help her... Serenity doesn't tell anyone that Medea is well on her way to becoming pet food, but all the same, when Christian suggests a plan that leads them into the archives, rather than pouncing on the idea, Serenity proposes a plan leading in a completely different direction. I sense a shift in Serenity's alignment coming up... has Serenity gone evil? Has Medea finally ground Serenity's last nerve? Does Serenity just want Medea to die through some sort of repressed psychopathic tendency resulting from unresolved and traumatising childhood conflicts, which would also explain why she wants us to bore into an underground well with a plan about as safe and logical as running head first into a brick wall? Is Serenity even an elf anymore? IS SERENITY EVEN A GIRL ANYMORE?? Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

In the mean time, Medea is probably getting bored of role-playing on her own and probably wouldn't mind if we all came bursting into the archives, hence reuniting the entire group, allowing us a quick action scene where we battle demons and then we can all cool off by going through the archives and finding out some vital information about the breaker that leads us onto the next part of the story.

Whereas even if we did, somehow, survive going head-to-head with the full fury of nature deep in an enclosed underground cavern, best case scenario being that we all get out alive, go home, get changed and have a nice warm bath... then what do we do? Sit around waiting for Medea to burst out of the ground, exhausted, gasping for breath, drenched in sweat, covered in demon-inflicted injuries and wondering why Serenity ignored her pleas and left her for dead, (or just assumed that she was screaming her head off about being attacked by demons because she was lonely and wanted some attention… I don't know, you'll have to ask Serenity why she places such small value on Medea's life... maybe she wants to eat her?) rather than tunnelling into the archives and saving her when the opportunity arose?

Anyway... I'm done... can get on with whatever plan you want now. I'm mainly doing this in the hopes that, in Sarina's absence, my brother will stop punching me and freaking out because of the sheer lunacy of what's been proposed as a way to <i>escape</i> from death and how my idea was shrugged off as if it were the ravings of a suicidal lunatic with dynamite strapped to his head juggling with napalm, knives and a ball of flaming barbed wire while doing an Indian rain dance on hot coals and loudly shrieking something about ‘they’ after every sentence.

If, however, this new plan is part of some bigger picture, then just tell me not to worry and it'll all make sense eventually and I'll go along with it without kicking up a massive fuss.

On the other hand, if everyone is now of the opinion that, just for a break from the usual, Serenity is out to horribly murder us all and would rather go along with a plan that vaguely sounds like a reasonably sane person might at least have checked the spelling, then perhaps we could try my idea… but hey, not my thread, so I’ll do whatever everyone decides. I just think it’s important if everyone shares their thoughts or confusions in order to ensure the smooth running of a thread.

And as for the oxygen thing, Christian has already stated, several times, that oxygen is low and that if we don’t hurry up and do something we’re all going to die. Gee, and people wonder why I get so wound up… ‘We’re low on oxygen and going to die!’ ‘Hey, here’s an idea, why doesn’t someone say we’re low on oxygen and we’re going to die?’ :-P
<-- and that last part was void.

Actually, I took the Void part out completely... it was a little too violent for my liking.

AND HOW IS DIGGING INTO <I>RUNNING WATER</I> SOMEHOW <I>SWIMMING AGAINST A CURRENT</I> IN A SOLUTION THAT <I>REQUIRES MAGIC TO WORK</I> IN ANY WAY MORE REALISTIC THAN TUNNELING INTO AN ADJACENT CHAMBER AND CLIMBING OUT THROUGH A ROUTE THAT WE KNOW WE LEAD US HOME????

If these two ideas were suggested in a real-life situation mine would win out everytime!! Gee, it's like I'm arguing with... really religious people or something... 'here's a perfectly reasonable explaination.' 'HERE'S A PERFECTLY UNREASONABLE EXPLAINATION BUT BECAUSE YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN IT YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL!!!' 'Even "Hell" is unreasonable...' 'STONE THE BLASPHEMER!!'

Hey, it's letting me post again! :-D

For starters, and I'm not just saying this, I do realize that you (Tourniquet) did have a reason for your plan, as you don't post random crap like I do.

Obviously both choices aren't to realistic in terms of safety, but come on, look were we are, on the porn filled, spy-bot giving, seizure inducing flashing banner internet. Obviously realism isn't a big issue, and I don’t think Serenity will be write something in like ,"oh, wrong choice, we're all dead, and can never use these characters again. End of thread."

Now, I think you might have pick it up already, but my character isn't to fond of Christian (did I get that wrong?). Just felt I should add a little negatism to the group, and Serenity once told me, "It's boring when every one likes each other. Who wants to live a happy world were every one loves each other." At that point she went on another hate speech again.

So, chances are, what ever plan we choose, we'll probably live. In terms of what would really happen in real life we can disregard. Sure we might take some wounds in a story, but we're the main characters, and besides Das Boot I don't think I've ever seen a movie with a non-happy ending.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still here, I've just been a tad busy. I'll write something by Thursday for sure in the actual thread.

And Void, since you're around the board, it'd be nice if you came back too. I'm sorry I cut your battle with Christian short before...I didn't think you'd just leave.

Well I know Serenity asked that we post our replies in the actual thread, but since I don't have time I'll do it here.

I like to see that we're all trying to pool our knowledge to get out of this thing. It's nice when creativity presents itself. Basically the biggest reason I agree with Serenity's plan more than Christian's is because of the group involvment. It's way more fun when everyone has a role and although you have little experiance being a secondary character Scott, it kind of sucks to be pushed aside. You're a great hero type and you can still be if we do it Serenity's way. Plus, who's to say that nothing will need to be blasted. There is always a way for everyone to win in fiction. Just do it the right way.

I'll be back later.
~Elysian

It seems like everyone has a little problem with the question... 'how?'

'This plan is more realistic!'

Uh...how?

'This plan is more logical!'

HOW?

'This plan is safer!'

OH GOD HOW??

'This plan allows everybody to do something!'

Um, no... this plan allows two dragons and a magic user to do something. My plan allows everyone to fight demons and then search through archives and throw around ideas of what to do next... even Medea. This plan allows us to crawl out of a well and leave one person to remain role-playing on their own, so again, I must, ask.... how?

'It's more logical in a role-play sense!'

Taking the previous argument into account... how?

And in case nobody noticed I was taking a 'secondary character' role until everyone stopped posting and I had to get the thread moving again. I was actually ASKED to take up the leading position because the thread wasn't going anywhere, I didn't WANT to be the one leading everyone else around as usual and now I am getting annoyed at just being brushed aside.

The main focus behind my plan was that it REUNITES everyone, (ho-hum, getting everyone involved and working as a team, anyone?) allows us to do something interesting and then puts us in the same posisition as we would be after Serenity's plan but with the whole group together, rather than just completly disregarding what someone else is doing. So, uh, no, the new plan does not allow to work together and it certainly isn't realistic; why isn't Serenity desperate to get into those archives and help Medea?

I've already said that I don't mind going along with whatever plan everyone decides, no matter how utterly lunacris or off-plot it is, now I'm getting annoyed because apprently nobody is reading a damn thing I'm writing and people seem hell bent on turning this into some kind of personal attack... and not explaining themselves fully, which is like, the most irritating thing in the universe. :-P

ooookay... yeah, i posted in the actual thread... with a sort of.. semi- idea. okay, serenity. i don't know if you really know how much water is in that well or anything like that. but i was thinking... me and WD break through the wall... the water rushes in who's not to say that the water just fills up the chamber waist deep or neck or something and stops. and we all wade in the well and climb out on the ladders? i was just thinking that. so yeah, scuse me if anyone was already thinking that. lol. so yeah, that's about all i was thinking. if not then just shoot it down. doesn't bother me much

Okay, I know that this sort of thing has been said before, but when you claim that people haven't read what you wrote Gabe, it's irritating. I read it and I thought about it and I still say we should just move forward.

And you wouldn't feel like this was a personal attack on you if you didn't keep getting so damn defensive! lol. It was a good suggestion. Nobody thinks any more or less of you for making it.

Draches, thanks for moving things along. I'll be in shortly.
