December 15th, 2006 to allow for CGI and promotions. And Paolini isn't very much of a genius, though I like his books. You can see stuff from the Wheel of Time series, Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher, LOTR, etc.

True, but at least he didn't steal many ideas completly he twisted them to fit his book.
Thank's Chalgrish for letting me know that piece of information.

Noooooo he didn't. A specific mountain range in the Wheel of Time series is called the Spine, and the main character's home city/town/village is right by the mountains.

I love his books. I haven't heard however that a movie will be coming out  . Now I have read the first book and part of the second book. Does anyone know when the third book is coming out.

It honestly is, but I just use my little code to make up names. And you will find it hard to get published, because publishers are generally evil. Editors are fine, though.

I've read both Eragon and Eldest. Eldest, in my oppinion, is the better of the two.

Muh.... I kinda liked Eragon better. Brom was awesome :D But I think that dragons should be elemental and that D&D's dragons are unbalanced! what do you think?
