Also in some cases Demons are considered to be "fallen" Angels so it makes sense to put them in one category Although we could go into subgroups of demons and Angels

Might as well count demons into it as well. Some of them are seen as winged humans.

But either way this will be a tough one. I need to read up on it.

The idea of winged humans originated with a misreading of chapter 1 of the book of Ezekial. True angels don't necessarily have wings - they appear in whatever form they want. Only the seraphim have wings by default, and they have 6.

Draconic Chronicler said the Seraphim may have been what led to the Dragon legends. I'm inclined to agree with him.

While we're on the subject of Angels and Demons... could the various myths of the Children of Earth and Sky (Titans) been a distorted memory of the Nephilim (offspring of Humans and Angels)? Then they have children, and before you know it you've got little wannabe deities all over the place, like Zeus or Thor. Mating with Humans, plus natural human evolution, creates all these other creatures (Elves, Dwarves, Goblins etc). Although I think Elves may have been the prodcut of a longing for Eden (the garden of the Hesperides, anyone?)

The story of the Nephilim does seem like a fairly accurate depiction of the Greek myths... though I'm inclined to say that the fallen angels masqueraded as Zeus, Ares, etc. and the Nephilim were their sons/daughters such as Perseus, Theseus, Jason, etc.

Hmmm. After reading the first part of the AboveTopSecret thread on the Narnia code, I'm wondering if the Greek pantheon could have arisen from a distorted view of God and His Angels, both fallen and not. Michael, being the commander of Heavens army, naturally would become Ares, god of war. Gabriel is the revelator, so it's easy to see how the tales could morph into Apollo, god of prophecy. Satan, naturally, would become either Kronos or Hades - perhaps both.

It would be interesting to attempt at drawing all these myriad threads together into a coherent storyline...

Alternatively, the case presented here is pretty powerful.
