Not all music is noise! It's sound, that sounds good! Rock is just some stupid people screaming into a microphone while banging on drums. So not music.

Noise is Sound, Sound is Noise; therefore if music is sound then it's also noise. anyway, there's also bass (sometimes) and guitar and not everyone screams all the time; there's a certain quality in rock music that just feels right and keeps me entertained and cheers me up. It also takes a lot of talent to play drums, think of all the cultures whose music was centered around the drum. It's definitely music....

hmmm...I think music is what the listener makes it. It is a form of art, like these drawings, like sculptures, like writing, like poetry. It is a way for an individual to express an emotion or a feeling, and the listener can make what he/she wants it to be. If you feel similar emotions, then you probably enjoy the music, but if you don't, then you don't. And, like all arts, music changes over time. And...a lot of people think it has changed for the worse. (me included. I HATE rap) So, after having said that, rock is music, because it is art of beat, rythm, and sound. But, you don't have to like it as music.

The music I listen to is Celtic, or certain Broadway songs. This CD I'm listening (1/2 Celtic, 1/2 Broadway) has a song called 'Dragon's Breath'on it, and it is SOOOO beautiful! I also listen to select movie soundtracks, such as Pirates of the Caribbean (da bomb!)

exactly mars i listent o lots of rock music that is quite dark or has a sad meaning but im not suicidal if anything this makes me feel happy ..... any music that i like makes me happy i like a large range of music but even the stuff i dont like i dont throw of as not being music. Niow i went thorugh a stage of depression in which i slit my wrists but music ... most of which was rock music .... actually kept me happy and away from the blade ....... i have stopped now and still listen to rock and all sorts of music it was not the music that made me depressed and i wasnt suicidal ... OOOHHHH!!!! I love celtic!!! I have this cd that is soooo awesome, called Celtic woman. Never heard Broadway music, but I also like soundtracks. Two of my favs are PoC, and CoN. (Pirates of the Carribean and Chrionicles of Narnia) I also have a rock music cd that I like. Idk what I really like, I kinda go all around. Just so long as it isn't Christian music, I hate the happy-go-lucky stuff they all have.
