i don't think that vegetarians are strange in any way shape or form. they have their own perspective on the world around them. they 1. don't think that murdering animals for any reason is right an/or 2. like me, they want to help and preserve the ever-degrading environment around us. even though i still eat fish, i don't eat it everyday. i have cut out every other meat (not animal by products, like cheese and yogurt). i now enjoy the delicacy of soy! because of this, i have lost weight (i used to be way overweight) and gained muscle (as i have started taking dance again!) i am healthier than i have ever been IN YEARS!!

Vegetarians are cool. But, I could never give up meat. Which isn't a problem for me, I'm the perfect weight and walk/roller blade 1 and 1/2 miles every or every other day. I could grow a little taller...but that has nothing to do with meat.

it might have something to do with that wierd chocolate you ate that or your just lucky my mum and my sister(my brothers at uni and my dad dousnt listen about it)are worrying thinkiong im going on a diet and there worried im gonna get all sick and unhealthy which im not im not going on a diet the most im oing is cutting down on my sugery things becuase last week i kept on throwing up and my mum said i probably had a bug and the fact that i ate so many sweets that week didnt help but now every time i dont finesh something they say that im on a diet and im not telling them which im not im eating a bag of crisps as i speak

my parents are like that too. they were afraid that i wasn't getting enough protein in my diet because i quit eating chicken and stuff. then my doctor told them that it was all right, just as long i was getting enough iron. i have never experienced having this much energy before! anyway, my dad, my mom, and my younger brother all caught an acute case of the stomach virus over the past few days. even though i was around them a lot, especially on saturday, i didn't catch anything. then i realized it was the fact that i had eaten a bar of dark chocolate for the past couple of weeks, almosty everyday! dark choc is full of antioxidants and flavonoids that help keep you healthy!! and away from becoming ill... I LOVE DARK CHOCOLATE!!!!

yeah, I think not getting enough protein is a myth. Soy and dairy products are filled with protein and if there's an iron problem well, broccoli is full of iron and so are lentils. PS I love Lentils!

I think that it looks too much like a cross between a horse, komodo dragon, dog, but still drawn nicely.

Its good detail and far better than I can draw, but the dragon itself looks distorted around the neck, wings, and stomach. Plus the legs are to long, but that would add a good speed advantage. Otherwise the dragon's scales are very well drawn and he put great detail into shading, wrinkles, and muscle.

i've had the stomach flu for a week an a half now same w/ me mum, stepda, an sis! but i'm having it worse. me parents think along w/ the doc that i have a olser. GOD IT SUCKS!!!

I had gastro enteritis a while back >.< It was awful,I got dizzy all the time and threw up every five minutes.I had to take this stuff that tasted like someone was throwing copious amounts of salt down my throat and it made me depressed.So I just ate chocolate and I wasn't sad anymore.yay!Threw up some more though.boooo.

in somerset there was a massive bug that spread through everywhere i got it and i didntr leave the toilet for a second i was throwing up and i had awful diarrhoia i only had it a day cos i had it the worst in where i live

Me and the majority of my class got this HORRIBLE flu back in winter. But out of everyone, a very good friend and I got it the worst. I didn't eat anything more then a bite of toast for 4 days...and I couldn't get out of bed or I'd get really dizzy, my heart would start pounding, and I'd feel really weak. Had that for two freakin' weeks....
And my friend was halucinating and fainted...

I think it was wiped out by quarantining the people who had it.They might have a vaccine nowadays,but they ceratinly didn't have it back then.

Not only in Asia, The Plague is here in America, too. I think someone in, like, Wisconsin got it....or maybe Oregon...I don't get what the big fuss is about the Avian Flu. As long as you don't sleep with your chickens, you'll be fine. It hasn't totally morphed to humans yet....

@Blackhawk: the spanish flu spread in 1918, after the soldiers returned home from WWI. @Mnementh: the avian flu is the same as the bird flu; its just refered to by 2 names. @ Akira: the spanish flu can come back. whooping cough was thought to be eliminated, but here in the US it is reappearing. @Aiolos: it isnt just sleeping with chickens, or being around them. it can be transmitted through eating an effected chicken or some other bird. the virus is found in migrating birds as they pass over affected areas. then as they come in contact with chickens and other birds people eat, they get it. if we consume those birds, it could then spread from person to person, causing a worldwide epidemic, like the spanish flu did in 1918. the reason it is a HUGE concern is because the human population exceeds 6.4 million. we live VERY close together because of that. and so, the avian flu will spread like an uncontrolable wildfire, and would be even worse than the spanish flu epidemic was. as we know it, it could exterminate the human race!!!!!

XDi told some of yous lot that my sister (the 19 year old one)was scared of chickens which she is and when shew heard about this bird flu she imediatly changed the name to chicken flu and is even more scared of them than before and my mom who is scared of rats and my sis also believe that the rats and chickens are working together in a bid to take over the world

When I said that the stomach looked distorted, I meant it didn't look quite right, not that it was sick. The whole virus conversation didn't have anything to do with the distrotation of the stomach. No offense to anyone though, I'm just pointing that out even if I'm being a little over scientific about it.

Oh yeah I saw a documentary the other day about a woman who during the 40's caught a primitive version of bird 'flu after She worked around birds.And survived

people can survive birdflu lots of people did with the more primitive version but sadly most of them died

"primative version"? anyway, it probably was only developing into a more dangerous stage. and the people who die are the ones who live in poverty, very poor countries, who don't deal with it early enough, or they are unable to obtain a vaccine or something like that. plus, if you are exposed to the disease over a long period of time, you create an immunity to it, or you only get a mild case.

viruses and other single cell organisms are the most likely ones to evolve and become stronger as they become immuned to vaccines and other medical treatments, and/or changes in the environment itself. multi celled organisms also undergo those changes, but not as quickly because they are made of more than one cell.

i am! i am in all honors classes, and i have the best education in the us! my school district is one of the best on long island, and long island has the best schools, education wise, in the us. plus, i am very intelligent by nature! i don't mean to brag at all, though......

E.D.: Don't know if this was already mentioned; I didn't read all the comments. You can only get the Bird Flu if you come in contact with the spit or feces of birds with the disease on a regular basis. It has NOT totally morphed to humans yet, so it can't be spread through them.

Hey, don't question me, either. I researched sharks for months. Great Whites are SAID to be more deadly because of the number of attacks. But the vast majority of these attacks were to surfers, and were almost always on ACCIDENT. The Great White's main (and possibly favourite ) food is the seal. Ever look at a surfer paddleing out in the ocean from beneath? Yup, they look just like seals. The Leopard Seal, on the other hand, doesn't mistake people for its food. They're just nasty, aggresive creatures looking for a quick and easy meal. And since humans are pathetic and can't defend themselves against large, toothy creatures....

now i'm freeked to go to the ocean! but i don't think theres alot of sharks where i live , plus the watere is to cold and i want to try surfing 1 day
