i can't stop people from doing, and neither can any body else really, but i find it sad that people do that to themselves. one of my friends did because her parents wer arguing and divorcing, but she's better now.

I don't have anything against emo kids. Dressing black and doing weird things to their hair doesn't really bug me, but I really don't like people cutting themselves and I am definitely against suicide. I also don't think that joking about being emo is appropiate. That's jsut me though.

I know that. I wasn't associating emo kids with either cutting or suicide. It doesn't matter who the person is, I'm against it completely. However, if cutting is the only alternative an individual can find against suicide, then cutting is the better option.

i have nothing agaisnt emos, but i have everything against cutting, mt freind cut herself and it took me many months to get her to stop, i was so afraid i would go to school and find out she killed herself.... its not good to cut or to think suicideally. every body needs space and everything, but if theyre gonna start cutting then somebodys got to interfer...... and i dont think that artist really have a stereotype, and every artist i know has a good sociall life... well, except me, if i didnt have u guys, i would have no life outside school and drawing

I too have a friend who started cutting herself. When I found out, I was really upset, but after talking to my other friend, who is also friends with the girl who was cutting herself, she said to jsut stay her friend. I really can't think of anything else to do, so I am determined to be the best friend taht I can for her. So far, she says she hasn't cut herself again. ^_^

I knew a girl who used to cut herself with paper clips. And that was in 6th grade. She went to a different school after that year, so I'm really not too sure about how she's doing. She seems to be better though. =] And everybody has suicidal thoughts, it's just part of the human dynamic. I would never actually kill myself though. I havn't done everything I wanted to yet. (:

There was a veteran who came in and spoke during my 7th period today, and hearing about everything he's done in his life really inspired me. =]

True, very true Aiolos. It's the media that's poisoning the army, not the army itself. That is a good idea. I want to use my books to help others, as well as adopt an overage girl. (over the age of most adoptios, like 12 I think) The closest I ever came to suicide was sitting in the kitchen in the middle of the night, thinking about using a knife against myself, but I couldn't do it, so I eventually went back to bed. *phew!*

im in rotc too! but im in mcjrotc, so its probably different...

my social studies teacher is friends with this guy whos son is in the army, and he said that reporters came to interview them. the reporters asked people who thought they were doing good to raise their hands, and 95% did. they then let those people go on to the mess hall, and interviewed the couple people who didnt like it and made their story out of that

It's not right though. The purpose of the media is to give the citizens accurate information about what's going on in the world. If you only give one side, then that's not accurate.
