well i'm new to dragnix. I hope to post some of my art soon, does anybody have scanning advice? I'm terrible at it.

well, u need to make sure that ur scanners on the right settings. like i have an HP scanner, when you scan the pic you should get a preveiw of it first.... that's all i got.. hope it helps. CatC

thanx for the advice; i will experiment with my scanner...maybe technology will be nice to me for once

also, Tempest gave me these tips a while back: To improve the scan quality, here're a few handy tricks to know:1- Common scanners usually use a fluorescent lamp that needs to be warmed up before scanning anything. It's sometime better to turn on the scanner at least 2 min before using it and make a few test before the real scan (by previewing the image a few time).2- Make sure your scanner software doesn't save as "highly compressed jpeg". Jpg compression method remove information from the image, and the white and pixelated grey background is a bit characteristic of too much compression. If possible set the scanning parameters to save as bmp, png or any other lossless format.3- If your scanner has difficulties to see details, scanning at higher (optical) resolution will help. Then you can resize the pic to something viewable on a screen.

ok? do u really have any idea how hard it is to do what raven does? from the general poses, the detail, all the way to the smoothness of her colors? maybe its just 'ok' to you b/c its not to your style liking, but that doesnt make it in any way bad.

I had to have surgery today, to test for skin cancer... Here I am, not evven in my teens quite yet, and I am having surgery. This sucks. @Raven: What does that mean?

i hate shots! when i went to the doctors office when i was eight, i saw the doctor coming with the needle and i ran down the hall screaming bloody murder and my mom had to chase me down and bring me back. some of the little kids in the waiting room were freaked out.

Shots are horrible, but I think coming around from anaesthetic is worse....It's like being born all over again!
