Cool. I like it, although it needs work. the oil pastels seem sorta scratchy, and it doesn't have any detail.

It's hard to add detail to oil pastel drawings. The scratchiness comes from blending some areas, and not blending others, and the scanner ruining the picture.

Always. But for the computers, it is hard to do exact deatail just by using a light. Besides, the scanner needs to transport the color information to the computer as well. I believe having a scanner is better than not having one at all.

Maybe the settings are messed up.. is something called Sharpen set in your scanners preferences or something? Sharpen can make things look grainy..

um, maybe if u stoped smashing scanners, then they would not hold any thing against u???

no no, it's a setting! It's not in the scanner. Go to start>control panel>printers and other hardware (or something similar)>Scanners(etc.) then right click on your scanner's icon and go to preferences and look around and see if there's something called sharpen.... deselect it or lower the settings and it might make pics less grainy.

on my pic it made the coloring actually look better!

@babyd: it can do that, just depends on the settings.. I've used sharpen on some pics but on other ones it's no good. XD

depends on the brand, the user, the picture, and scanner itself... xD I don't have a scanner though.

it depends on what they are geting used for, 4 pics bad, for paper copies, good....

ah...i never had a scanner, so i wouldnt know...i've heard so many peepes talking about how horribla they are, so i thought they were evil little devils...

maybe if you werent a scanner murderer killing all of the scanners friends and family they would actually like you and cooperate!

Sweet! I really liked our old one! It was responsible for my first pictures here. Our new scanner however. . . BLECK!! , not good. And our old one wasn't even broken! My parents just upped and got a whole new computer, PLUS a printer/scanner!! It is soooo not fair!! *smashes an already broken scanner mercilessly* I really liked our old one
