I have hurt myself when I was under stress of some sort, normally raking my neck, I also used to bite my knees, wrists, and hands. haven't done any of that for a while tho, I've dropped the biting habit and didn't use it under my greatest stresses from everyday life! You shouldn't use pain to conquer stress either.
