Interesting, it’s different than what you normally do. Not that I'm one to criticize but the tail section in the lower right hand side doesn’t seem quite circular. Also too much of one color makes it hard to decipher the dept of the creature. On a more positive note I think the rose is gorgeous. Stick with it you’ll get it right.

Wow Makla, this is one of your best pieces! I love it, congratulations! The rose is done beautifully, and the dragon looks deep and sensual as if it's waiting to give someone the rose.

Makla this has got to b the most beautiful blue dragon. I love the way u drew the dragon and the rose together it does look like that she wishes to give it to someone.

Yes it is, Most of the stuff he said wasn't totally true, he was having fun, I didn't want him doing anymore insults either. He still doesn't believe in dragons, and neither one of us really think that Makla's versions of Saphira and Thorn matched what the author had described, not that the cover illustrator did a better job.

Actually, Paolini never described Thorn in detail! Just that he was red, ferocious looking and smaller than Saphira. ^^ So, anyone's idea of him could be what Paolini imagined him to be. And, I never remember him mentioning 'feelers' on either of the dragons' faces, so even the cover pictures are off XD

He also mentioned that Thorn's limbs were thicker.

they're not feelers there those things... you know... the things that you have on your head...

I still think of Saphira and Thorn as a more common middle ages type dragon, whisker things or not. I never emagined hair or a beak. I don't really care if everyone else thinks differently, but I probobly should reread the section of the book where Saphira hatches and look at her description. Its because of this type of dilema that I'm going to be the illustrator of my own book, not pay someone else.

ya, the head does have little depth and almost blends in with the body, I'm not bothered by that though. and we weren't saying this was Sapphira at all, we were talking about Makla's earlier pics. He had one of Thorn that my cusine made a fus and started a fight over. I told him to soften up tho, and he's behaved when I let him on last time.

shiny....the rose is beautiful...i can't see the actual dragon that well though because it sort of all blends in. but all in all it's a very pretty drawing.

hey everyone, i'm dragonness' older sister. I was just checking out the site and looking at all the new stuff she has posted. I know princess fluffy is a weird name, but it has a long story behind it. You'll have to get Dragonness to explain it to you all later. It was her idea anyway and I prefer it to Trog, which is what she used to call me!!

Yup. I took a trip to the hospital today! What fun… ok. Heres the story. I was on my way to second period when Brennen said something that pissed me off. So I chased after him, until we reached the door to mrs. Beilings room. He accidentaly opened it on my foot so badly that it ripped a piece of it off. PLEASE FORGIVE HIM! HE WAS THERE FOR ME THE ENTIRE TIME AFTER THAT. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO STAYED BY MY SIDE AND LET ME CRUSH HIS ARM WHILE I GOT CLEANED AND READY TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM! So I didn’t think I had cut myself right? I looked down, and what did I see but a huge pool of pus and blood pouring over my foot. Of course, I screamed. And sobbed. It hurt so badly… and then a few kids started laughing. But brennen helped me up and took me to the nurses office while the nearby kids backed away, gaping in disgust at the stream of blood coming from my foot. So half way there, ryan marrill came and helped me along also. If u know him, thank him 1000 times for that. So I got to the nurses office and sat down. I was shaking, crying, and nearly threw up as I tried to keep conscious. Brennen stayed and comforted me, and let me crush his arm (sorry XD) and so the nurse came to help and cleaned my foot and flip flop up. I stayed there shaking and crying for about a half hour or so. In the middle of that time, something terrifying happened. Everything went cold. My entire body felt like it was encased in ice. I could barely hear anything except my own slowing heart beat, couldn’t see anything except a blur. I felt like I was dying. After 2 mins or so, I had regained full conciousness and was back to my shaky crying. Finally my mom arrived and after the nurse put a wrap around my “laceration” (fancy word for cut) and my mom got me a wheelchair and took me to the car, where she took me to the emergency room. I got there and just listened to my ipod and cryed a little more, then I was taken into a room and layed down on a small bed with a warm blanket. It took about an hour for the doc to finally come back and numb me. THAT HURT. MUCH WORSE THAN THE STITCHES. It burned like hell, and it felt like my entire leg was on fire. Then I sat for a while til the do finally came back and did the stitches. I closed my eyes and just talked to her. She asked me a couple questions about school, then I asked her what the worst cases she had to deal with were. She had to do child abusive cases and she hated those the worst. But soon enough, the stitches were done, and I was wheeled back out to the car. Mom got me a coke and drove me home, and here I am talking to u guys. I am coming tomorrow, and no I will not be in a wheel chair or have crutches, but I will be limping and hopping all day. If u have any sympathy, please help me get around!!!

ya. it rolled back while she was trying to park it, and she didnt have her seat belt on, but she did have her helmet on (thank god!) and it rolled of a rock ledge, and she managed to get out before it rolled back even further and fell 8 feet off another ledge, where it landed leaning against the shed at my friends lake house. no one heard because everyone was in the house cleaning up from lunch and i was playing touch master (a game thats like a tv that has many different games on it) she came in crying and she had skinned a section of her leg and it was bleeding, and her hand got a big bruise and is all swollen up. she also had a bunch of scratches on her back

at least she's okay...

she was ok, just really shooken up. of course, when i tried to hug her afterwards because i had gotten off the phone with my mom and my mom had told me to hug my sister for her, she just pushed me away by my throat saying "leave me alone! i dont feel good!"

aww... that's sad....and my friend's mom just kicked her dad out of the house.
