Awesome!!! (as always) It looks fierce. The shading on the head needs to be a little lighter. You can barely see the eyes. And also, um, back legs. Where are they?

I think the picture goes off the page. You can see part of one of the back legs under the wing, it's stretched out, I believe.

I don't think so. You see where the bottom part bends? Well, the part above it doesn't bend with it. It's straight, like it's the back.

Why does the name matter?

I like this dragon cus it is very spiky on its neck and it seems very angry, I also like these kind of wings, you should post up a pic of the whole dragon.

I don't know if I'm right, but that funny bump at the back of the dragon? I think it might be a pelvis, kinda like some dinosaurs. Maybe it's a leg, I don't know. I almost can never get the whole dragon on the paper, so I think Makla ran out of paper.

Meh. I've seen probably most of "Makla"'s work and I'd say that this is his best. The stuff about him being half dragon/phoenix or whatever is something to give him lots of attention. Here's a hint: its not working. Quit boasting and do some REAL art. CHALLENGE!!

shadow serpant im not to sure if this is true but i have been reading this book called AUTHER SPIDERWICKS FIELD GUIDE and in it it sais that a cockatrice is a basilisk though according to some pictures in the book there are some that just look a bit different but are still the same species

I was reading something the other day, and it described a basilisk. It said something about it looking like a cockerel with spiky wings. I always thought a basilisk was a type of serpent.

in harry potter the basilsik is a giant snake but in other texts it's a cockerel-dragon thingy and in another book it said it was a shapeshifter

According to Western legends, the Cockatrice evolved from the Basilisk. The basilisk is described as a 2 foot long, saffron scaled serpent that glided across the ground. Upon it's head it bore a crest composed of three white tubricles. It's main enemy was the rooster. Over the generations, the basilisk eveolved from a serpent, to a cockerel, but still possessed the crest, body and wings that the basilisk did. It gained the head and front legs of a rooster. The basilisk is rumored to kill with a glance, but this is unconfirmed. The Cockatrice, on the other hand, kills with it's venom and breath.

Makla: Ok! Great! Well, I'm not a dragon. I'm a mixture of things. Well, to begin with, I'm a girl. (duh) With very light skin and wavy, brown hair a little past my shoulder. (and i'm 19 if that helps. you're not drawing a little girl) I look like an average person until you get down to my waist. From the waist down, I am snake. I have beautiful, long snake tail. (it's jade with a little bit lighter underside. but i figured colors might not matter since a lot of your pics are black and white.) And I have wings. They stretch from my shoulder blades to my waist. They're like dragon wings but a little thinner like a bat's. They're a pretty good size. Big enough for me to fly with.
Is that good enough? Need anything else?

Well, I've never heard of a naga. I've never met anyone else like me. I looked them up on the net. Some people say they're good, others say they're bad. It says they're water and/or earth spirits that care about nature and can control the rain and can cause droughts or floods. I've never done anything like that but. . .Come to think of it, it does rain sometimes when I'm sad. And I'll admit it, I'm a tree hugger. I get very depressed when I see forests being cut down.

I'd love a Boa constrictor as a pet.I've handled an Earth one before and they're a lot smaller than Terralisadian ones.But there are Taboos among werecats that forbids us to keep another living being as a pet.

As long as the pet is cared for properly and treated with repsect I don't see anything wrong with it. ( Not trying to run over your Taboos.)
