Nice, very regal looking. I love the designs and the facial expression. I also love the general shape of it to. One of my recent species incorporates a similar elongated back. I think it gives dragons much more grace and flexibility. You're also starting to get the idea of shadin around the fore-arms, but there's still a long way to go to get a 3-D effect. Assuming the fins are translucent, the area where the tail passes behind the fin is to bold. The tail should look faded in that area (similar to how the background fore-arm is faded). It would also look good if you addes some shading around the eye to make it pop a little and add some definition to the face

actually, i just realized i am not jealous of her. she is just as brilliant as ever in my eyes, but i have come so far in my are, from pointy, triangular feet and totally off proportions to fully colored with details and shading that i realized: my art is my own, unique, and if i drew like raven, there would be no history to my artwork, and it would be boring and repetitive. my art is my own, and i will keep it that way. again, i'm not saying i don't like her art, it's amazing, but it is not my style, nor do i want it to be.

Now that's awesome thinking, Nayru! I have my own style also, and it's quite a bit different than Raven's. She does give me ideas from time to time though...

Hi peoples! Oh Zephyr, you look great! I really love your detailed drawing style! The only problem I see on this picture is about back legs, thy looks a bit weird.

i think the shape of the head is my favorite part. all of my dragons just have a square snout....

Wow Zephyr...this is amazing! The styling and designs and anatomy and pose...all absolutely beautiful! The detail you put into this picture is amazing, and I can defintely see inspiration from Raven in this picture. I hate to critique this picture because it's so good, but Kelsey is right, the shading of the back paws and the body behind the translucent webs could use some work, also, the smoothness and gradual thinning of the tail at the very very end is a teensy bit off. Trust me though, I feel awful critiquing this pciture! It must have taken so much time and is so beautiful...I love it!

I don't think anyone draws like you Tiamal. All our styles are far too unique.

i doubt i could draw it xD whats in my head is often a totally different picture than what turns out on the page xD i love all f the unique styles thats whats so cool about art, no one can say you are wrong and are using the wrong style and technique like most of our society today

well when i draw i can't draw whats in my head i can make pictures out of tiny ridges in the paper then i simply trace them.

That's an interesting technique...I start with the eye and move on to the head, neck, and so on...

thats true too... well i guess what i'm trying to say is that in many ways thee are things that always have to be done in a certain way or it is frowned upon. like i guess you could say our writting styles and the way we are to ralk and in in a way it is suppossed to make us conform to equalness, but in art and writting we can express ourselves in ways that is own uniqueness that can't be told as wrong or not part of the norm for it is our uniqueness... wow i kinda got off topic sry about that

I'm sure many chefs would consider cooking an art (and I certainly won't contend that), and perhaps there are people who express their souls in all kinds of ways, besides just those three main things.

I has finished Ersska's head (just need to ink it), Ersska's torso (need to ink the upper part, the belly area is completely done), ink in the right arm, draw and ink the left, design the left arm, design and ink the tail, draw in a pretty name, my logo, and perhaps the dragnix logo too, though probably not. So, all in all, still a lot left to do.

Oh boy...three days left! I shouldn't say anything though...I haven't even started on Korgy's pic.

Ah come on...LOL...I really like your people, so I'm sure I'll like your creatures.

But you've only seen one of my pictures! I could be really good at drawing humans but awful at creatures! Or that could have been my absolute best person ever and I'd never reach that level again. See, you don't know these things until you see it. I will say however that I'm very proud of the human part, even if the snake coils suk.

Meh, I'm not much for critiquing, so all you'll get is "This might've been a bit better..." but that's about it. I love it when people draw stuff! It makes me happy to see them work at perfecting their art. But you do the critiquing thing so much better than I can! LOL

I guess the point is is figuring out what element of a picture (if any) is detracting from the picture as a whole, and how it could be changed so that the picture is more pleasing to the eye. Since Raven has basically mastered all elements of art, there is nothing I can say to make it any better, she simply becomes more skilled with each picture. (There is, in fact, a strong difference between her first pictures here and her most recent pictures, it's pretty cool) However, for those of us who are not quite so professional, there are several things each person can do to improve.

LOL...very true. I'm a kind of "sketch whenever I want to or feel like it." I generally don't finish the pics or sell them. If anyone likes them I tend to just say "Take it. I don't have any use for it..."

Awww...but you're such a good artist! I guess you don't have to think about it now, but you really do have the qualities of becoming a professional artist or art-related career. I'd strongly recommend it.

Oh, why thank you...I'm really touched, Rana. *huggles* My major in college next year will be Graphic Design. I wasn't comfortable with a major in just art, so I chose something that incorporates way more and has a much larger career field. I might get a minor in art and education, just cuz.

i had a teacher that, whenever asked a to explain a question, she would just repeat what she previously said, and gave no explaination. she also smalled bad, and would pace up and down the rows, spreading her stench. (100 comment!! w00t!)
