Hmm, after seeing this, you have given me an idea, when i go to Esperence (the nearest coastal town to where i live) i think i shall make a sculpture of a dragon, but i think i may have to talk my mum into taking me to Lucky Bay, she doesn't like it cause the sand squeaks

i went to a beach that had squeaky sand. it was fun. i shuffled around and the sand went "vvvrp vvverp vrrrp!"

are you kiding?!?!?! you can find loads of stuff on the beach!!! my favorite are fish ears. they are always pure white, and they are durable, so if you polish them smooth, they make great beads. (you were just the subjected to a random comment fron Miremel Idia that will be comeing in at equaly random times, just so you know)) *gets back on topic* good idea, but the dragon looks too much like a horse in my opinion

Haha, Silveera, bradenton beach is sort of like that down here. The sand makes this horrible squeeking noise when you walk on it. xD

a fish ear, as a matter of fact, is a type of shell, and it's kind of dull unless you polish it.

I have a couple of conches myself. They sit next to my fire place.

I bought a HUGE conch from the bahamas for like a buck, but...i guess they didn't clean it out thoroughly enough and it stunk up our cabin, so the friends I was bunking with made me throw it out. ]= ]= ]=

awww...i only find the small ones. but in Hawaii they have really nice cowry shells you can find lying around in teh tide pools that are empty.^^

We decorated our bathroom with an underwater design and my mom found a really pretty little blue shell! It's my favorite out of ALL of them!

*completly ignores the bathroom conversation* there are shells called fish ears, and I belive that they are so named because the resemble the real thing, but there are small bones in fish's ears that I collect. If you count the rings on them, you can tell the fish's age (this method is used wheen counting and ageing dead samon). They are really small compared tho the fish's sise, a 3 1/2 foot samon would have one that is about the sise of a dime. (I found one the sise of a quarter at lake erie )

...or so I've been told.... *shifty eyes*

I collect things from outside that are colorful, odd, new, pretty, etc. so I have stashes all over of feathers (ONLY from the ground or road kills), fossils (too many to count, most not very good), seeds, and bits of wood.

I once drew one across a softball field(it was eating home plate), but it was hard to see and woulden't fit into a pic.

that sounds cool! i'm not a big fan of softball/baseball, but i love tennis.

my dad wanted me to play softball. i told him "do i look like the kind of person to play softball?" and he said "no, you look like the kind of person to play basketball." i laughed, cuz im really tall and i run fast, but i can't dribble the ball right or shoot it into the basket if my life depended on it.

i played softball for like 4 years xD i hated it!
