@tweaked: You should save your drawings as jpg (in high quality/low compression) instead of using bmp (lossless format); it's can reduce the size of a drawing by 5-10 times without any perceptible differences (true for scanned drawings, not so true for digital drawing... so anyone who usually sends me digital art as bmp can continue to do so this way).
Also, my mailbox is more or less limited to 50 meg per 24 hours, so mails bouncing back are a very rare (and temporary) oddity.

Reminds me of an event long ago in my uncle's life. hmmmm

What did your uncle do?

LOL...nothing embarrassing. It was really serious. He was lighting a match to start a building's furnace. He didn't realize that gas had leaked out the night before, and had made a trail out of the open door when he came in. My aunt was standing beside the door, and when he lit the match, the fire followed the gas, and you can guess what happened. My uncle threw off his jacket and was beating the flames off of her when my mom made it to the building. The explosion had slammed the door shut when the gas exploded, so she couldn't get in. She was standing there pulling at the door and pounding on it when a man in a white suit walked up to her. He asked her if she needed any help and she yelled at him to open the door. He did so and promptly disappeared. We can only assume it was an angel. My uncle and aunt both received third-degree burns on their bodies and had to have skin grafts from their legs put on their wounds. My uncle actually breathed some fire in, so he was much worse. It was a scary time...but there are hilarious stories involving tinkered-with fireworks that I can tell you!

As for the gas and matches issue, that reminds me of an event in our own past, Tweaked. hehehe. . . .

Okay, well. . . when Tweaked and I went to a boarding school together, a sinkhole suddenly appeared behind the girls' dorm, severing a gas line. We girls were promptly evacuated into the basement of the guys' dorm for the night and got to dress in really cold bedrooms the next morning. Tweaked and I bunked together in our own little corner.

The guys were really nice to us, believe it or not. LOL...It was freezing. Another friend of ours was there so we had a little mass of people in a corner trying to sleep. It was kinda funny, but I was soooo tired the next morning...and cold. Stupid gas lines.

You guys go to boarding schools? Wow...I've never been to one before, so idk how the system, but that sounds like a pretty funny story. Although, I have to admit, I am quite surprised that the guys were decently nice to you girls while sleeping in their basement.

Yeah...I went for a full four years, Oreo for about a semester, but it was enough for us to become friends. The school we went to was a christian school, so they included subjects like Bible and stuff like that. The guys are usually pretty okay, but we weren't sure what they would plan to do if we had to move into their basement for a night. It turned out really cool cuz they ended up lending us all their sleeping bags and extra pillows. They were so nice...

Wow. Idk, in case you didn't know, I'm a bit sexist against males in general, so...yeah. But what was the school like?

LOL...I don't blame you. The school I went to is considered private, and has a total of about 80 kids and about 20-some faculty. The kids can choose to work either on campus or out in town, if they choose to. The only thing I really disliked about this school is the fact that it was so expensive. My parents had to move up to where the school was so my brother and I didn't have to pay so much to live in the dorm. We are now considered 'village' kids, and we tend to lose track of what's going on at the school. When you live in the dorm, you're in on all the gossip and drama (which I can live without), but you're also in on all the movie-watching, pillow fights, and fun stuff that happens in the dorm within an hour of lights out. It was so much fun. When Oreo and I went there together, we would often spend the majority of our free time in my room, writing, listening to music, drawing, and basking in the warm glow of my lavalamp. Oreo could probably tell you better since it was more of a gift for her to come.

No...I'm a year higher than Oreo, so I graduated this year. I'm headed to another state next year for college. Oreo's family didn't want her that far away again plus it was extremely expensive, so she wasn't able to go back. It's been almost three years since we went to school together.

Wow, another college freshman. You'll still keep in touch with us right? But I'm glad you and Oreo are still friends even after three years apart. I've never been able to do that with any of my friends that moved.

Dude, definitely. The internet at the college is really awesome so there's no doubt that I'll be around. Probably not as often, but...you'll see me. I tend to make it a goal of mine to keep tabs on old friends. I hate losing friends...I don't really have that many that I consider 'close' so when I finally have someone that fits the category, I hate to see them go. Not that I don't hate seeing any other friends go...it's just...it adds a certain urgency to find the person when that person was closer to you, if you understand what I'm saying.

So you're saying that we're close friends? Aww, thats sweet! *huggles zephyr* I once lost a really close friend one time...scratch that, two times. I hope I never have to go through that again, it is a very painful experience.

Sure...we talk about stuff we believe right? and our opinions and stuff? So basically I consider you much more of a closer friend than many. If I actually knew you it might be easier to say that. Oreo and I have that closer relationship that can only come with actually meeting people, but don't worry. You're what I consider a close friend, although we've only just met online. And the cool thing is that the internet is hopefully gonna be around long enough for us to hang out way more.

...The internet better not die out on us! LOL! And I haven't known you very long either, but I consider you a close friend too. And, eventually, I hope, when I no longer have to worry about internet predators or the like, I would like to meet a lot of dragnixians face-to-face, because I think it would be kinda sad if I went my whole life without ever meeting some of my truest friends.

Yeah...that would be sad. You know what's sadder? You and I could live in neighboring towns and we wouldn't even know it!

i think it would be neat to arrange something once im in college and have a bit more freedom from my parents...or i'll just walk around the country wearing a t-shirt with the Dragnix logo on it (once we decide upon it)

i have relatives everywhere around the country, so i have no problem travelling...and i could probably even think of an excuse to go internation as well

I live in the US, as i think that a lot of us do. and i think it would work if just a small group of us planned to meet at some lil restaraunt in public in some city for a lunch or something. it would be coolios in my opinon...but that would be years off for that possiblility to even arise at all for me... @rana: what about a shield?

I'm not entirely care-free, but I don't generally worry too much about tests. I'm sure a lot of people would mistake my laziness for a care-free attitude, but that's really not the case. hehe, my parents keep telling me I'm a vampire... I sleep all day, stay up all night... and my skins so pale, when I go outside it looks like it glows (and cause all I wear is black, grey and red)

hmmm not sure either it probably has to do with the temperature and the nasal passage ways .... hmmm tis a good question heeheehee i find night time peaceful all i wear basically jeans and John Deere shirts most of which are black as well

LOL...I really don't wear any particular color, but I usually wear jeans and various colors of t-shirts. I dislike pink and white so I never wear those colors.

As for Serenity's idea for the t-shirt with the Dragnix logos, we could all wear shirts with our drawings on them. Then we could recognize each other by our style of drawing and by the drawings themselves!

I could get the shirt and pants and belt pretty easily, the issue I think is going to be getting the armlets and cape and Mizu...hmmm....

all i have to do to cosplay as my character is find a blue skirt and a ragged tan shirt...easy and boring that my style...
