Ohhh... They want to be whole again... So they are trying to turn everybody into heartless so Sora can kill them and then the Orginization harvest those Hearts that come out of the heartless to sacrifice to Kingdom Hearts so it will finally open for them and they will be whole again. So they can have hearts.

Yeah... Roxas didn't agree with the whole Idea, so went against the orginization... Axel left a while after because he wanted to be friends with Roxas again, and Marluxia and Larxene thought they could overthrow the orginization together...

Well, Sora ends up killing pretty much the whole Orginization... Except Roxas and Axel... Axel dies saving Sora, and, well, Roxas lives IN Sora.
