An australian winter without snowball battles or skating on the frozen lake, without hail, ice stalactites, hard rime on the trees or glaze ice on the roads... I think it's sad

I actually really like winters and would love to be australia now. We're just getting into summer and i feel suffocated by the heat, even though there isnt much of it yet.

i know! I hate the heat its so hot right now its like 90 today D: its breaking the record high today *dives for my lovely shadey tree*

*wishes i had a shade tree* we don't have air conditioning in our house, so the coolness we have now is not likely to last long.

awwws luckily we have ac at the house so at least its cool... I don;t have a shadey tree but the dragoncat character does she likes to sit and perch unnoticed and watch the proceedings of things

lucky you. we have to wait until it is dark to let the cool air in. however with the lights on it also lets in a ton of bugs.

eh i know the bugs are annoying One time I had like 5 lightning bugs in my room and every few seconds they would all flash like little lightbulbs, Hope wouldn't leave them alone....

hahahaha! I wonder if they were trying to confuse her with the lights. I used to have hordes of ladybugs in my room. then we moved. and a friend of mine has discovered the horrors that they bring.

wow, same here! though the air conditioners are probably like 80 degrees or something. This really reminds me of the clash between my heat-loving floridian cousins/aunts/uncles/grandparents and our cold loving family. whenever they come up to visit us they're always wearing jackets and when we go down there we can hardly stand being outdoors without being in a pool.

it was quite hot in Florida on my senior trip I think it is a good thing that i don;t plan to go south of the cool region

it's really interesting to watch people from different temperature regions be like (person one): oh, you think it's hot here? this is cool weather! (person 2): oh you think this is cool? you should come up north where your cold is scortching hot and see if you can withstand our freezing temperatures!

I prefer cold weather. Here is never more than over 80°F, even in the warm days of summer, and in winter it's something like 5°F! Of course we use the Celsius system Celsium and metric systems are simple and efficient, why are they not used in US ?

I really don't know. we use them sometimes, like in sciency stuffs, but random daily stuffs we'll use the other. I suppose it's because america like being a rebel and making things harder on itself.

CUUUUTE! I <3 the ears! We Americans are stubborn, and I guess the whole metric thing traces back the the 1776 revolution. Britian uses metric, so we don't. Now we're too lazy to switch! lol! But personally, I like basking in the sun. I love heat! I'm soooo cold-blooded!

Lemon balm is efficient against moskitos. I have a lemon balm plant in my bedroom and I have no problem with insects! Plus it smells good

I am the plant master!! *trees magically growing, their branches makind a cage around Nayru* See, that's what happens when you try to take my stuffs! *lemon balm releases Nayru, jumps in my arms and begins to purr as I give it another sugar*

Come on Nayru, plants are our friends If you are nice with them, of course... *writes the photosynthesis chemical equations on a board*

yeah plants provide us with O2 or oxygen and help in reducing the pollution by taking in CO2 and they provide good ol' shade

*yaaawwwn* *cannot even be seen in the dark shadow. am i really there? 0.o*
