*Gasps* I just realized something...this pic totally looks like Katara...I don't mind but...dang it. I hoped she'd look somewhat original.

The hairstyle yes, but the skin is slightly darker and the clothes are way different and the eye color is different too. So I wouldn't say it TOTALLY looks like her, but similar in some ways, yes.

*sighs* Katara is one of my favorite Avatar characters...I guess it's okay but she's waaay too similar to Katara for my taste. LOL

ALL the avatar characters are my favorite...well, except for Iroh. And Lord Ozai, and Mai and Ty Lee. Even Azula in her own way is a really cool character. I like Zuko except for in the beginning when he's this crazed obsessive Aang stalker.

Yeah...I like Iroh when he's actually serious. Mai rocks!

LOL...yeah. Zumai's kinda emo, isn't it? I was never fully satisfied with the canon pairings in Avatar. Now, as for the pairings in Naruto Shippuden... What can I say? When I get involved in any kind of anime, American or Japanese, I automatically look for the characters that could (realistically) get together. And most of the time I've been right...lol. But I'm no matchmaker in real life! I've only dated one guy and even that was a little...weird. We're more friends than anything. Internet life makes me feel like a different person sometimes...lol.

I'z usually much more bubbly on the internet than I am in real life, but I'm still the same person at least. Now, as for pairing characters in stories, I usually go with whoever the author decides and root for the couple together (although a lot of times I'll claim the guy anyway, lol). My only main exceptions are Zumai and Ender and Novinha. <---That one I hate the most!

I'm watching FMA right now, and it's so cool! I can understand why all my friends say it's an awesome anime! It is...but it's a little bit creepy at parts too. Oh well, I guess you can't really have a good serious episodic plot line without the shock factor.

He's coming back from summer vacation. I live really close to the school, and since it's a boarding school, I don't see much of anyone during the summer. But he's coming back, and I've talked to him a little over the summer, but I'm still a little nervous. Idk why...

Yeah...we broke up. It was more of a mutual understanding than an all-out war. LOL...we both knew that we wouldn't be able to stay in touch (enough for it to be called dating) during the summer, mostly because we're not at all the type that can sit on the phone and chat for a full hour a day. I could possibly give it a go, (I'd probably make about thirty min before getting really bored) but my best friend doesn't like phones. He prefers person to person conversations. I wish I wasn't romantically involved because I'm headed to college this year and he's still in highschool. It'll be tough to keep a relationship going, just like over the summer. He'll be going to the same college as I am (I think) but I want to expand my horizons. I like him very much, but I want to see who else is out there.

Ah, I understand that. I'm glad you're going to be seeing him again soon though! Anyway, just to put my two cents out there, it's good to try to develop relationships with other people, but sometimes the people that understand you the best and care about you the most are those that have been with you all along. Anyway, those are just my two cents and I could be completely wrong but there you go. *sigh* You don't know what I would give just to have a guy friend...

I agree with you more than you can imagine, Rana. I think he understands me pretty well, but I'm not sure if we're that compatible. But anyway, that's just my brain talking. The other part of me is agreeing with you and then some. I just wish I could be smart and go with my gut feelings at the same time, if you know what I mean. I understand your longing for a guy friend more than you know...at the beginning of highschool, I was an awkward, shy geek that didn't think any guy would want to be my friend. Then I met other awkward shy geek girls that had the same problem. After a while, we began to come out of our shells, and the very first guy friend I ever made turned out to be my first and only (so far) boyfriend. Don't worry Rana, he'll come along. All you need is patience. A lot of patience. I have a feeling that you might want to strangle me for saying that but it's better to wait than to rush. Just get comfortable around guys and the rest will come naturally.

Sorry guys...the main reason I haven't really been online is because he's back. I've been out hiking and stuff with my family and him. We're still really good friends...nothing has changed there, and there's definitely a hint that he still likes me. He sat/walked beside me pretty much everywhere we went...he was still his random somewhat immature self, but he had his "romantic moments." Being romantic (to him) is fashioning a small branch into a crown and sticking it on my head. The dork. He's like a little kid when it comes to telling me he likes me in his own little ways. But anyway, he's still his same dorky self, but he has matured a bit more in the area of telling me he likes me. He's taller, too.

I'm sure. He's always trying to hang out with his new guy friends and he never starts a conversation with me, I'm always the initiator. Also, he didn't come to the library today when I asked him to, and he doesn't sit with me even though there's plenty of room. So no, he doesn't like me. Also, he's only known me for like....five days? Well, not counting several years ago in middle shcool when we barely knew each other.

I know ALL about complicated. LOL...there was a girl that liked my best friend the same time I did. It was really awkward and she pretty much hated me. Now we're on speaking terms, but my best friend is a very touchy subject.

never really had that happen to me really..... maybe in middle school my one friend and i liked the same guy but we both got over the liking him thing at the same time it was funny when you get out of middle school and high school and look back much of it is really funny but there is a few things i wish i could redo.... but we all have those now onto college and work

I've never personally dealt with any drama bigger than a mild-school-girl crush, but my best friend often has some hard issues with her....boyfriends? Idk what to call them but none of her relationships has ended happily as of yet. And then her friends are all into the drama scene, so I'm often brought into the drama twice removed and WAY behind the current happenings.

@rana and catc: wow you guys lucky. i mean, sometimes drama can be fun, but not ussually. i like trying to laugh at how stupid it all is, if i can.

I've drawn a few pictures with pretty decent hands, but for the most part I avoid drawing them whenever possible. Although...I did draw a faun picture recently that I think is really good, and the hands are in a somewhat strange position but they still look good.

Actually....Mona Lisa isn't really all that pretty... It's pretty faded and the colors are all rather dull, and the face itself is meant to have features of both a man and a woman, thus making a rather ugly woman.

Yeah...*sigh*...I made a friend with this one girl that's going for the same major! She's really nice and we are very much alike, but we never get to really hang out cuz she's always around this other girl she met before me. The other girl is nice and all but I don't feel very comfortable around her for some reason.

Hmm... idk, maybe if you try hanging out with both of them, then you'll grow more comfortable around the two of them together. I know that my two best friends for the last several years knew each other and were best friends with each other long before either of them knew me, and I used to be very uncomfortable around one of them, but now she's one of my best friends.

Yeah...I should at least try to hang out with both of them. I think the main reason I feel uncomfortable around the girl is because...*breathes in deeply to speak with no commas whatsoever*...she had me convinced she could play the piano and sing really well so when she actually did do it she kinda flopped. I didn't want her to feel bad so I didn't say anything about it, but she keeps showing off. It seems she wants to be accepted, but I don't know how to tell her that she should practice more before she auditions for the college choir and piano club/thingy. She also wants to start a bell-ringing club when she's only been in bells for a year, and she also thinks she knows where everything is. Which she doesn't. Maybe I'm just being stingy or something.

Hmm...I don't know what to say to that, cuz I know someone sorta like that and I don't like her at all. The reason I was uncomfortable at first around my now best friend was because she's a very dark personality, and often hard to connect with, and she'll sometimes shut me out when she feels that something's seriously wrong with her life, which upsets me sometimes cuz I'm kinda sensitive and want to show her that I care. But, as you probably know well, a dark exterior can often be a cover-up for a kind heart that's been too often crushed beneath other people's feet. However, in your situation, I don't know what to say. I guess maybe you could run the information the one girl tells you by her friend who's in your class, just for accuracy's sake. And then idk, but maybe she thinks she's good because she's never seen anyone better, or maybe she's just an attention hog. I don't know. It does sound however like she likes music, so maybe you could try to connect with her on that level.
