More definition on the face to start with. Getting Neondragons Dragonart wouldn't be such a bad idea, either.

getting what? i have one book that i have been fiddling with a little bit, called How to Paint and Draw Dragons, but i have only had it for about a week.

ok, the wings are in the wrong form, the legs are to small, the feet are screwy, the body looks fat, the crest is unusual, and the tail is too short. Tip: Get some dragon proportions straight, and look at a diagram of some sort, to get the right proportions. And, as always, practice!

i have one question that bothered me while i was drawing this: should the tail be behind the wings, or in front like it is now, or does it matter?

It should be in front of the far wing, but behind the front wing. in other words, it is between the two, unless you twist in certain ways.

Jessica Peffer's Dragonart ~ it teaches you how to draw really good dragons! In fact, a lot of people here used poses from the book to draw their pictures... My self portrait is such an example.

i took a closer look at the book i have, and that's it! but like i said, i haven't messed with it much. i will definently(sp?) start reviewing it though, now that i have a good report on it.
