The Balloon Giver - By Kelsey Kwolek

A picture I painted in watercolors and drew with pencils. Its for my bf, Aaron's, 18th b-day. Complete with a non-depressing poem. I like the mix of serious, elegant, and cute in this. I made a mixture of water and blue pigment to dip the paper in so it was died blue, then painted out the edges and used watercolor pencil to draw the dragon and regular pen/pencil to outline/color it and add in the poem. I attached bamboo sticks to the top and bottom so it rolls up and can be pulled into a hanging position. There's even a hook to hold it into roll position. His b-day is monday.
