Thanks everybody. I got a new set of Faber Castell colored pencils so I was experimenting. I was mad at the blurryness because it destroyed the scale work along most of the body. If you look up near the back of the head and along the neck you can almost get the idea. It also made the color transitions in the wings all weird.
