TIP-O-RAMA- Firstly don't bother with expensive pencils-it's how you use them that counts! Shade lightly in a circular fashion to avoid flaky bits, use black and dark colours first where you want the deepest shadows.Work up through your pallette and finish with the lightest. If you still have a grainy finish, a white colour pencil can even the worst of it out. Also, the humble felt-tip pen is marvellous for small areas, use permanent markers for big areas, (black with silver ink stars make a great night sky).Ballpoint is a must-have, they're cheap and easy to use.They are good for finishing a piece, to clean up the outline and enhance areas that have become lost in colours.@i-heart-dragons- You drew me? I love this pic though, the beautiful blues and the nice red/oranges look really good against it. I love that little smirk on her face too. But the colouring, and how its tied together with such an intricate pattern...you are such a talented persone Ravie, you could go far!
