Awwf, friends... In the train today I was sitting just behind one of my old friends I haven't seen for months, and all along the journey I slept and didn't realized she was just there. I just saw her when I woke up to take my bag and leave the train... Depressing!

i know i think the same thing sometimes as well i think that i would have probably stopped with art or just would have done it every once and a while unlike now... all of you guys really helped in sparking that little art flame no one i really knew before this site really appreciated art and like for example my mom would just go "art is a waste of time it will get you no where " or the once i hear every day "stop wasting paper!" i think that dragnix is a wonderful place that inspires people to both start and continue with their art *huggles everyone*

@Azdar: Awww! That's so sad! Still, if you saw her on the train once, there's a chance you'll see ehr again. You just have to pay closer attention, lol. @Catc: *huggles back* I will be honest, art really doesn't get many people anywhere, just like writing, but still, if you really enjoy it and want to get better at it, it's worth it enough to not give up.

I'm planning on getting a job somewhat based in art, but it's nice to have skills enough to make pretty pictures once and a while.

@Zephyr: With your level of art skill and the place you are in life right now, I wouldn't be totally surprised if you COULD make it on art and art alone. Still, it is a very good idea to have a back up job that you can rely on to give you a regular paycheck when you're still trying to get your feet under you in the world of entertainment.

Yeah...which is why I'm planning to have two jobs at the least. LOL

I'm planning on working as a journalist for a newspaper or magazine, then working on my stories on the side until I'm able to publish one popular enough to pay the bills and whatnot, and then go full time into writing.

That sounds like a good plan.

With how well you write, plus the extra training you'll probably get in college, you won't have a problem.

Meh. Don't worry about it. I just have a few difficulties keeping up with you sometimes comment-wise, but that's okay. It's my fault the internet is so slow.

meh i have dial up and it is sooooo slow..... but hey at least i have internet so its all good

LOL...well, I have wireless, so it goes out every now and then cuz our provider isn't really that reliable. But anywho...usually I can watch a youtube video rather easily, but sometimes the internet completely dies.

That stinks. My internet is pretty reliable for the most part. I'm very happy with it. THere are issues with viruses sometimes, but other than that it's a very well-behaved little modem. *pats it*

Yeah...lol. I live in a mountainous region, so our radio has issues picking up signals from towers. And sometimes the towers get struck by lightening, and we lose internet for an hour or so until they fix and reset the tower's system. So essentially, our internet works a lot like a cellphone receiving signals from a tower. And since we live in the mountains, we sometimes get blackouts cuz the signals sorta "miss" us.

I live in amountainous region in fact it is the highest point in our state..... i like the semi cool summers and the pretty falls and the awesome winters lots and lots of snow it makes it even better that its in the country

I love snow! We get about 3 to 4 feet on some days of downright dumpage. Do you ski? I ski. It rocks. I went on my first double black last year. Scared the @#$^ outta me. But it was fun...

@zephyr: you are so lucky!! i love the snow but only get about 4 inches tops, and that is about once per winter. *flys to zephyr's house and romps in the snow*

Snooooooooow!! Here can sometime be very cold in the winter, even if it's nothing like canadian or siberian winter... January is usually entirely snowed. But there are no mountains around here in the tiny belgian place, so I go skiing in the french alpine mountains every year.

Everyone should fly, run, teleport or whatever over here and join Dark Dragon and I in the snow. Don't worry Rana, I have a sauna! (not really but I can dream)

I hate saunas. They're all sweaty and cramped and steamy. No, I much prefer natural warm sunshine.

I like saunas every once in a while...(like when I'm sick) but other than that, I don't really like them. NO! I know! I shall build you a greenhouse!

But greenhouses are super humid, and make your clothes cling to you with sweat...which is really gross.... Lolz, it's ok, you don't have to build anything for me really, lol.

no i don't ski i leave the slopes for the darned tourists i prefer the good ole snowall fight with dad and see the world blanketed in a pure white blanket of snow untouched pure if you will. until a kitty romps through it or the goats xD i love snow

I can't skate really either, but I can sorta roller-blade, or at least I could last time I got on the rink.

My butt suffers terribly in roller-blading and ice skating. I want a butt cushion.

Butt cushions do exist, but I think they're rather expensive. Anyway, I've gotten to the point where in roller-blading I can go at a decent speed without losing control or falling on my butt. My feet hurt after a while though...

Yeah...rollerblades aren't exactly the most comfortable footwear out there. LOL Neither are ski boots. It's nearly impossible to climb stairs in them. Unless you're used to them.

i actually really like to rollerblade, i think i'm decently good at it. but i totally agree with rana, i would love to be as gracefull as a figureskater.
