FIRST! *sighs happily, then starts flying in happy little circle* it'd take to long to fully explain why this pic makes me so happy, but basically, i first started drawing dragons while focusing solely on their eyes, and this just reminded me how happy i was when i started drawing dragons and, well, lots of other very happy memories

THis one was first (obviously). The purpley color is me attempting to shade it better. Fail. :/ Oh well.

Hmmm...I kinda like the other one better too. If you want to shade, use a darker blue, not a purple. Or press harder.

it is a cool color, but if she was looking especially for shading, then a darker blue would've been better

IT wasn't purple, it was pink! Ur supposed 2 use the opposite color to shade with!

O.O Umm...I was always taught that you use a darker shade or just more pressure...*asks raven* What's best to use for shading? And I thought blue's oppostie was orange...

it tis different styles and tecniques n.n i use all kinds of concepts, sometimes i'll shade like dragonness, then i'll just apply more pressure, and then other times i use the opposite color, it just depends on what you want your piccy to look like

It looks cool! Though the absoluetly BEST way to shade red is to use blue. Just look at Lexxaien. I used blue to shade her red stomach.

Yeah! One of my art teachers showed me how 2 do it, and I've been using it ever since!

I'm serious! She taught us scratch art, where you scrath off black plastic from a white piece of paper, and then how to make your picture abstract. That was like it!
