Signe was never an ordinary boy... but yet, what is ordinary in a world of dragons, demons and magic? So, I guess he was your everyday ordinary boy, come to think of it. First of all, he had silver hair. While the Elven races of the Desert and Wastelands had silver hair constantly, a mere human of non-magic parents having silver hair was clearly a death omen. And it was.

Signe was smart. Not your everyday "Oh! You got straight A's in class!" smart, but he was smart. As in, he was three grades smarter than anyone else in his class. But that is to be expected when all he does for his free-time, being bed-ridden, is study and read. "Why is he bed-ridden?" many people ask, but the answer is always is "He is not well." Truth be told, this young boy has a failing heart. As I said before, his silver hair is a death omen. However, something that noone, or no common man realizes, is that when asleep he has the powers to 'leave' his body as a spirit, or ghost.

What? You didn't expect him to just sit around in bed all day at the hospital, did you? No. Just like every other kid, he wants to be able to run and play outside. So he does that when he is asleep. However, it has certain limitations. He cannot pick up anything heavier than a piece of chalk, and when his body awakes, he is torn away from his spirit form, and back within his body. Due to only being able to pick up a piece of chalk, he has become skilled at doing clean work with the chalk on the sidewalk or road, even though he is far from a good artist.

He likes the color green, and loves short bread cookies. He enjoys foxes and dictionaries, as well. He is Ten, and his grade is Fourth, however, his mind is set in a Seventh grade level.

You see, while it is easy to create a character out of thin air, a world takes a lot more creativity and thinking through. You need to think through the currency, the leaders, the races, the festivals and other holidays and other such things.

personally, i think a world is easier to create than a single character... but that's just me.

yes... but its always good to start with a map and a name, and the creatures living there

For me, it all started on a fleeting idea of a creature I created when ten, called a Trillin. I was remaking said creatures, and thought, Well, where would they live? What started as a small forest known as Reknown quickly grew to the world of Terrasta. To that point, the Oracles were born, and from them, The Three Goddesses, and an entire nation of mixed races. For me, to create a world all revolves upon one simple idea, causing a chain reaction.

hmm i think i was bored and sat down one day....

yeah. i, however, think the opposite. i think of a world, the the details like terrain, bodies of water, forests and so on, and then i think of a wide variety of people/creatures that would live there, and where they would live, and then i go into detail about the creatures.

That is completely opposite from me! XD

xD that's just how i think. when someone thinks from left to right, i think right to left. that's probably why no one understands my way of thinking. ><'

Yeah, I always start with characters and move to worlds xD

The hardest part is creating the land formations and where the kingdoms/towns are located. When I do maps, I have an image in mind, and do that image to create a land that looks similar to the object. Like, A fish, a griffin, a lion, and many more.
