Augh! Seeing your work all professional and beautiful like this makes my personal self-esteem drop to nothing. I feel so horribly about my own work now! My work looks noting more than child's scribbles compared to all of this. *Cries* I am probably the worst professional artist there is!

awwww, that's not true nighthawk! we all have our own styles! and each of us can do all kinds of wonders that others can't do and i love ur work!

Aww, Nithak, some people need to practice more than others ): Sometimes I look at some else's art and think my art sucks compared to this, but I've learned that when it comes to art time doesn't matter. Whether you've been drawing for decades or days, and wether you're young or old, there is always room for improvement. :3

Yeah, I guess so. I just felt really low during the time, and just sometimes I am so dissapointed in myself; wishing I could do better. My self-esteem is just so low sometimes, that it surprises even me.

Same here night! I just study off of everyone's art including yours.

You see, I am not able to copy anyone else's skills or anything. I am constantly drawing to learn it myself, because I am not even close to a photo-whatever that word was- learner. So upon lookin on others, I realize that I won't be able to create anything nearly as good, because of my odd mind.

nighthawk, you and i are very similar in the fact that we cannot copy anyone else's skills. i have a reeeeeely hard time drawing from looking at someone else's art... my mind sees what i want, but my hand just won't draw it, i guess... ><

True. My Mother tells me stories of when I was younger, I wanted to draw the perfect rainbow. My mind seem to say what I wanted, but my small hands wouldn't cooperate. Upon not drawing what I imagined, I threw a tempertantrum. XD

i do that sometimes Nighthawk. XD though not tempertantrums. i just scribble over my failure or just leave it forever unfinished. and i know what yu mean by not being able to copy other people's styles. its impossible, cuz everybody's style is different and unique. like yours. i could never copy your unique style. i see your art and wonder how yu do it cuz i cant do some of the things yu can do. i look at other peoples art and study it like babd said, but not for style. just to undertand basic anatomy and poses and how they draw lines. i dont copy em, but i learn from them and develop it my own way.

I only use other's pictures as reference, if I am drawing that character or so on. Being a person of naturally low self-esteem, I sometimes just become upset quite easily when people draw so wonderfull like it is natural, while I have to work countless hours to create a style that I believe is the best. But then, going and seeing other people's wonderful work, I envy them and, sometimes, I just break down and look down upon myself, saying "Why can't I do that? I have been working on this for thirteen years now, why can't I do that?"

ya wanna know somethinn?...deep inside, i feel the same way. its a natural feelin. and yu say it looks like it comes natural to those better than yu...yud be surprised how hard it is at times. if yu saw how many 'rejects' as i call em, im sure yu wouldnt feel as bad. i screw up all the time, even more so now for some reason. just keep drawing. and im sure thisll make yu feel better: try to find some old drawings that yu did from long time ago and look at how much yu changed in that time. even compare pics yu drew as recent as a year ago or 6 months ago. yud be surprised how much yuve improved. i look at my old ones sometimes, remembering saying "this is teh best ive done! i dont see how i can get much better!" it makes me laugh to remember cuz obvioulsy, they suck. XP yu can even see some of em. if yu go to 'search' and look up my pics (either here or DA, or even at my old blog (the links on my DA page)) yu'll see how bad i used to be. and back then, i thought they were the best things in the world. so just keep drawing and youll get better. i promise. hey whoo knows? yu may even beat me. Nyliir, Aiolos, and Mars sure did. (not that they used to be bad. they always were really good. ) now they can do things that i cant do. especially with Photoshop and regualr coloring.

hey jade i think i need to get some coloring tips from u...this pic is awesome...

Heehee, thanks...um, coloring tips? Well, you can color softly in small circles, and just build up the layers. I think on this one I actually used it. There's another one (blue with orange wings) that I used the circle tchnique thing. Or, hahaha, you can press the colors harder so they come out brighter and don't look faded. Heehee, it makes your hand sore..
